C//PAL III 2019

Produc
tivity
the key to sustainability and profitability of the palm grower sector
From October 2 to 4, 2019, the Association of Oil Palm Growers of Guatemala (GREPALMA) will once again hold its Palm Growers Congress, the third edition of C//PAL 2019, in Santo Domingo del Cerro, La Antigua Guatemala, Guatemala.
Once again, the Association of Oil Palm Growers of Guatemala -GREPALMA- is organizing the III C//PAL Palm Congress, an opportunity to exchange knowledge and to learn about new trends that mark the development and evolution of the oil palm agroindustry. An open invitation is made for lectures to be presented to offer the most relevant information during the Congress.

Agro-industry and sustainability professionals interested in submitting lecture suggestions for the Third Palm Congress may submit their work abstracts before June 1, 2019.
La Antigua Guatemala is stage to the splendid Colonial Hispanic culture, the former capital of the Spanish Kingdom in the region and declared "World Heritage" by UNESCO in 1979. It once again takes center stage as the venue for this important event, which has gained interest in the international palm farming community.

The growing demands by the markets in which we operate today, driven by buyers, suppliers and consumers who are increasingly informed and aware of the importance of meeting international commitments to ensure climate change mitigation and sustainable development objectives, in an environment of declining prices, have led to our organizing an agenda to seek solutions to the direst social, environmental and productive challenges of our agro-industry in order to raise its competitiveness.
Some of the topics to be covered through keynote addresses in plenary sessions and technical meetings in simultaneous modules are:
  • 1
    Market analysis
global supply of palm oil, demand and price perspective
  • 2
    Technology innovation
